Confidor Insecticide has a broad spectrum of activity, particularly against sucking insects, various species of beetles and flies, and others.
The product is a highly effective systemic foliar insecticide. Also, Confidor is compatible with conventional insecticides.
To apply Confidor Insecticide, you will need a clean knapsack sprayer. Fill the sprayer half full with clean water. Then, add 100ml of Confidor Insecticide to 200 liters of water. Shake the sprayer well to mix the insecticide and water thoroughly.
Once the insecticide is mixed, you can begin spraying your plants. Be sure to spray all surfaces of the plant, including the leaves, stems, and undersides of the leaves. You may also want to spray the soil around the base of the plant.
Confidor Insecticide should be applied once a week. For highly infested plants, you may need to apply it 2-3 times a week.
Here are some additional tips for applying Confidor Insecticide:
- Apply the insecticide in the early morning or evening when the weather is cool and calm. Avoid applying the insecticide in windy conditions, as this can cause the insecticide to drift onto other plants or areas.
- Wear protective clothing when applying Confidor Insecticide, including gloves, goggles, and a long-sleeved shirt and pants.
- Be sure to read and follow all instructions on the product label.
How to apply Confidor to specific crops:
- Vegetables: Apply Confidor Insecticide at a rate of 0.1 litres to 0.3 litres per hectare. Treatment should commence upon sighting the infestation of insects. This should be followed by 2-3 treatments within 14 days.
- Roses: For aphids, mix 3.5 mL of Confidor Insecticide with 2 liters of water per plant. Use as a soil drench by pouring the mixture evenly around the drip zone of the plant. For plants taller than 1 meter, add 2 mL of Confidor Insecticide for each additional meter of plant height. Prior to application, remove mulch and dead vegetation, and moisten the soil surface. Apply the Confidor mixture, and then water it in well immediately after application.
- Other crops: Please consult the product label for specific application rates and instructions for other crops.
Safety precautions:
- Confidor Insecticide is toxic to bees and other beneficial insects. Avoid spraying flowering plants or plants that are in bloom.
- Confidor Insecticide is also toxic to fish and other aquatic life. Avoid spraying near bodies of water.
