Description:

Our electric scalding machine is both efficient and saves time, which enables very swift and fast processing of poultry birds for farmers and consumers.The key to easy and successful picking is thorough poultry scalding. Poultry scalding machines loosen the feathers so the bird plucks easily.

The equipment is highly recommended for those into the processing of birds, especially in commercial and large quantity. It is however needed to heat the birds before they are being transferred to the automatic de-feathering machine.

The scalding machine is made of stainless steel and used in collaboration with the de-feathering machine for the removal of feathers from poultry birds (broilers, old layers, cockerels, turkeys etc).

How to use the Electric Scalding Machine:

  • Fill the water box of the scalding machine with water. Fill it up to half of the water box.
  • Make sure to adjust the thermostat of the machine to “O” point.
  • Plug in to the socket, then switch on the machine.
  • Now, you can reset the thermostat, by turning the thermostat button to the desired temperature of between 80 to 90 degrees.
  • The water will be heated. Once the water has been heated to the desired temperature displayed by the thermostat, dip in the already slaughtered birds into the water box and shake for few seconds.
  • Once the wing feathers are easily pulled out, the scalding process is deemed completed.

Precautions:

  • Do not leave the bird in the scalding machine.
  • Scald just moderately and long enough so feathers can be picked.
  • Make sure you don’t leave the birds in the water, so as not to cause the temperature to drop. It damages the skin of the birds.
