CalMag (Calcium and Magnesium) Fertilizer (25kg)

DESCRIPTION

In supplying nutrients to plants, elements needed by plants are not only the conventional application of Nitrogen (N) Phosphorus (P) and Potassium (K). There are two other major nutrients needed by the plants, and these are Calcium (Ca) and Magnesium (Mg).

Calcium and Magnesium nutrients which is supplied in terms of fertilizer as CalMag granular, are used for plants planted in the soil and also important for hydroponic farming as well.

Why CalMag Fertilizers?

When you grow crops either on the open field in soil or in an hydroponic system, application of CalMag will help your crops thrive and enhance high yields of produce.

Even though, plants naturally get calcium and magnesium from the soil and water. It is essential in farming to apply their fertilizers, as CalMag fertilizers easily make the nutrients available for the plant uptake.

Although in hydroponics farming, since soils are not used, it is only advisable to apply CalMag fertilizer to your plants, as that is only what your crops will depend on.

Symptoms of Cal Mag Deficiency

  • Calcium deficiency symptoms is usually obvious at the growing ends of the plant.
  • Common signs include Plant rot and stunted growth.
  • Young leaf tips, buds, and fruits are the part of the plants which are most affected.
  • The roots are seriously affected by stunted growth, which affects the entire growth of the plant as time goes on.

Symptoms of Magnesium Deficiency.

  • Mature parts of the plant always show early signs of magnesium deficiency.
  • Yellowing of leaves. These leaves usually have green veins. Quick ageing and death of plant.
Cal-Mag Deficiency

Cons:

Cal-Mag deficiencies can be catastrophic to farms as well as hydroponic systems. But in some instances of a soil farm, CalMag nutrients are not essential as both nutrients are very easily available in water and soil.

But in exceptional circumstances, supplements are essential. Due to a greater emphasis on water purity and pH levels, hydroponic growers are more likely to be affected by Cal-Mag issues than open-field based growers.
