Product Description
Magnesium Sulfate fertilizer can be used to increase magnesium or sulfur content in soil and can also be foliar-applied to magnesium-gobbling crops, such as potatoes, roses, tomatoes, lemon trees, carrots, and peppers. The advantage of magnesium sulfate has over other forms of magnesium is its high solubility. This makes it a very convenient addition to foliar spray solutions. The use of magnesium sulfate will not significantly change the soil pH because solutions of magnesium sulfate are also nearly neutral. It also provides vital nutrients to supplement your regular fertilizer. Magnesium sulfate fertilizer makes it easy to correct magnesium deficiencies at planting, or at any time during the growing season.
Role of Magnesium Sulphate in the soil
Magnesium is the central core of the chlorophyll molecule in plant tissue. Thus, if Mg is deficient, the shortage of chlorophyll results in poor and stunted plant growth.
Magnesium also helps to activate specific enzyme systems. Enzymes are complex substances that build, modify, or break down compounds as part of a plant’s normal metabolism.
Magnesium also plays a role in the transfer and production of sugars, starches, fats, and oils within the plant
