How It Works
Scalding:
After slaughter, the poultry is placed in hot water (about 60°C–80°C) for 30–60 seconds. This step softens the skin and loosens the feathers, making plucking much easier.
Plucking:
The bird is then moved into a machine with rotating rubber fingers. These fingers gently rub against the bird to remove the loosened feathers.
Feather Removal(:
As the machine spins, the feathers come off quickly. Water is sprayed to wash the feathers away, keeping the process clean and efficient.
Completion:
Once scalding and plucking are done, the bird is clean and ready for the next steps like cutting and cleaning.
